As an existing land conservation organization in Detroit we are looking forward to learn more about equitable land ownership opportunities for all Detroiters.

What’s the future of Detroit’s vacant land?

Detroit Future City released Saving for the Future: Land Conservation in Detroit, a new report exploring how transforming vacant lots into open space can improve community health, strengthen neighborhoods, and build environmental resilience.

The report outlines DFC’s plan for the Detroit GreenSpace Conservancyβ€”an effort to protect and manage natural areas across the city for the long term. By investing in green space today, Detroit can turn vacant land into lasting community assets and ensure a more sustainable, equitable future.
