Christ Church is getting a resilience upgrade ☀️

We’re currently installing rooftop solar at one of our Detroit Resilience Hub sites, helping to strengthen the building’s ability to serve the community with clean, reliable energy!

That means lower costs, more sustainability, and a space that can keep showing up even during power outages!🖇️

Today, EcoWorks Executive Director Briana DuBose joined Rep. Debbie Dingell, Michigan League of Conservation Voters, and other dedicated partners in Ann Arbor to speak out on the real impact of the Trump Administration: higher energy bills and fewer resources for Michigan families.

At EcoWorks, we see every day how critical energy savings programs are for keeping lights on, homes safe, and costs down. Families deserve affordable, reliable energy—and we’ll continue fighting to make sure no one is left behind. 💡💙

"The need is only increasing.” Huge cuts to SNAP follow federal terminations of climate funding, like our Resilience Hub initiative investing in Detroit soup kitchens and food pantries. We're fighting the termination in court. Our Director Briana DuBose and close partner Steve Wasko of St. Suzanne Cody Rouge Community Resource Center spoke to the Detroit News.

While the implementation of Trump administration food aid rules and cuts is uncertain, Michigan food banks are preparing for a surge in clients.

✨ Exciting News! Our nonprofit is making a significant impact with our latest project, tackling the challenges posed by the climate crisis and supporting low-income congregations in Michigan. 🏠💚

🌱 Project Focus

This project addresses the urgent need for energy efficiency in low-income houses of worship.

🌬️ Why It Matters

Low-income individuals are disproportionately affected by the climate crisis, experiencing environmental degradation in their living and working spaces. This project aims to bring energy efficiency and renewable energy to the houses of worship where these communities gather, creating a more sustainable and resilient future.

💡 Impact Beyond Energy:

By making these public buildings more energy-efficient, we're not just reducing harm to the environment – we're empowering congregations to redirect savings towards providing more services to their communities.

🌍 "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly." - Martin Luther King Jr. ✊🏽✨

This , let's reflect on the interconnectedness of justice and extend our commitment to combating injustice in the realm of climate change and providing resources towards communities being more environmentally and economically sustainable.

🌱 Climate injustice impacts our communities disproportionately, and we must work together for equitable solutions.

📚 Education is key in fostering change. Let's support initiatives that provide education on climate change and sustainability, particularly those aiming for equitable and just approaches to serve communities. Together, we can create a future where justice prevails, not just for individuals, but for our shared planet. Let’s make Martin Luther King Jr. proud  🌎💙
