This pandemic has exposed how underprepared our country is for a health crisis. Foodservice workers across the country have been put on the frontlines of this virus.

Foodservice workers have been offered no paid sick leave, no benefits, and take abuse from customers.

Our lives are endangered. We refuse to die for business!

We are a new collective and working to figure out exactly how it will be possible to get a union started on a grassroots level with folks from all around the city so please if you, your friends, your family, etc. want to get involved or share information we are completely open to being in conversation about anything that is even closely related.

This is a collective of past and present service workers within Detroit fighting to get the needs met of those currently working during Covid. We know how dangerous the service industry is right now for employees and that the businesses aren’t providing hazard pay or medical coverage to ensure the safety of everyone who’s working so hard to save these businesses from going under.
