Hayley Thompson, Ph.D., associate center director for Community Outreach and Engagement at the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, and Theresa Hastert, Ph.D., associate professor at Wayne State University, were recently selected to serve on the board of the Michigan Cancer Consortium (MCC). Dr. Hastert researches ways to lessen the financial toxicity associated with cancer and Dr. Thompson leads the Karmanos COE office as it promotes cancer prevention and control, and aligns those efforts with community voices.
