PRAYER CHANGES THINGS Thank you for your faithful prayers each week. God hears and lives are being changed.
This week's requests:
•A woman has requested prayer for a relationship with a family member. Peace where there is conflict, guidance & maturity, that both of their hearts will be opened, and soft words instead of anger
•Continued prayer for the woman who is losing her house, it is up for auction. Pray she is comforted as she is packing up irreplaceable items. Pray she is ready when she is told it’s time to move. Pray also for her as she considers going into recovery.
•We found a woman we were concerned for. God is growing the connection with her, She has asked for prayer for a family member who she hasn’t been able to locate in several days
•Two women are still sleeping outside. One of them had a confrontation with a man who robbed her, Pray for peace instead of anxiety and for protection for them
•A woman was upset and had been crying. She told us the men in the house have been taking everything she earns. Pray for her
•A woman has requested prayer for strength, that God’s strength to overcome her
•A woman had a bad fall off of her bike and her face and chest are injured, she’s having difficulty breathing. Pray she gets the medical care and healing she needs
•Continue to pray for new women we are connecting with, that our relationships with them will grow
•A woman was robbed and hit over the head with a baseball bat. Pray for healing
•Pray for healing for a woman in a cast, we don’t know what happened
•A woman’s SNAP benefits are on hold, pray she is able to find food. Pray also for a conflict she is having with another woman that there is healing and peace
•Pray for healing for two women who have been very sick. One of them also has a black eye
•Pray for a woman to have access to medical care she needs and has been unwilling to seek. She has a hard time walking due to broken bones in her foot
•Someone in a woman’s house has a visiting friend who will not stop inappropriately touching her. She is understandably angry, Please pray that it stops and the man leaves
•Pray for our team members. They see so much while on outreach that tears at their hearts. The hard truth is that as much as we want the picture book story of being able to swoop in and effortlessly change lives and save people, that’s not how it works. The women and men we serve (there are far more women than men) are in a complicated system designed to keep them where they are. Some are born into it (it’s the only life they have ever known), others were groomed into trafficking and are held there by manipulation and coercion, the fear of the unknown keeps them there even if they want to leave (they know the ropes where they are at, anything new will mean different coping skills), there are physical threats (to themselves or family members), addictions, and so much more. What we can do is meet them where they are, address their physical needs to the best of our ability, demonstrate the hope that is only found in trusting Jesus, fan the embers of faith as they spark and help meet their spiritual needs, and be there with resources for recovery when THEY are ready.
Thank you for all of your prayers, they are making a difference. God has commanded us to bring everything to him in prayer. He hears, and answers. đź’śđź’™
