Cowboy is a happy, easygoing guy who doesn’t ask for much. Give him a comfy dog bed, some love, and a place to relax, and he’s a happy camper! 🥹🐶

Today, we are incredibly thankful for every single person who has supported District 5 Animal Alliance Rescue. Whether you’ve donated, fostered, adopted, shared a post, transported a dog, or simply cheered us on — YOU are the reason we’re able to keep saving lives. 🥹❤️

But right now, we need our village more than ever.

💔 Our bills are at an ALL-TIME HIGH, while donations are at an ALL-TIME LOW.

A HUGE thank you to two of our amazing supporters, Raya & Max, who decided to have an impromptu lemonade stand and raised an incredible $130 for our rescue! 🍋💵🎉

Seriously… how amazing is that?! 🥹❤️

Phoenix is looking for a long-term foster or her forever family! 🏡✨

Just like her name, Phoenix is rising from the ashes. It’s clear this sweet girl hasn’t had an easy life. She came to us overbred, malnourished, and with skin that tells a story we may never fully know. But if there’s one thing Phoenix has taught us, it’s that the past doesn’t define who you are.

This girl is all HEART. ❤️

Phoenix’s favorite place in the world is right by your side. She loves to lean on you, cuddle up next to you, and make sure she’s always touching her person. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will shower you with unconditional love, she’s your girl.

🎾 Loves toys and is always excited for playtime!
🚗 Excellent in the car—she’s the perfect road trip companion.
🚶‍♀️ Walks beautifully on a leash.
🏡 100% potty trained.
💕 She may be a little shy at first, but once she realizes she’s safe, her sweet, loving personality shines through.

🙏🙏friends we need shares and hope to find this sweet girl her forever 🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️

Hi my name is Athena, but I also go by Baby and Boozer in my foster home. I am 2 years old and 55 pounds of belly rubs

My favorite things to do are meeting new people, taking long walks, car rides (pup cups at Dairy Queen are the best!), and sitting out on my deck looking at wildlife. I like to play fetch with my toys and chew on my bones during the day. I also like to lay on the couch and watch TV (especially animal shows). I’m very gentle when accepting treats and playing, and also very intelligent picking up on new commands quickly. I’m known for my floppy “piggy” ears and random roll overs for quick belly rubs.

I LOVE EVERYONE… Adults, children, babies. My tail is constantly wagging when anyone comes over or when meeting new people on walks. The more people around the better.
However, I don’t do well with any other animals. I’d love to have a fenced in yard because although I go on a lot of walks now, and am a good walker most of the time, I am also reactive when I see all other animals and pull quite a bit.

In the house I’m very low maintenance. My foster mom works at home and spends a lot of time with me, but I’m also happy to sleep on the couch for hours when left alone.

My foster mom loves me sooo much but travels and cannot keep me any longer. However, when in town, her schedule is very flexible. She’d be so happy to continue being a part of my life and helping out whenever possible.
