Our mentors and mentees wrapped up an amazing summer with a fun-filled trip to the Toledo Zoo!

From making memories to exploring new things together, it was the perfect way to celebrate a summer full of connection, laughter, and mentorship. 💙🐾

Our Elevation Ceremony was a HUGE success! 🎉

We had the joy of celebrating our incredible youth and the tremendous growth they’ve made in literacy. 📚💙 We also celebrated our favorite partners, our amazing caregivers, who continue to show up, support, and champion their children every step of the way!

Our families then headed to JCPenney to shop for everything they need to start the school year with confidence. ✨

When her mentor recognized her passion for cosmetology, they didn’t just encourage her dream, they helped bring it to life! 💇🏽‍♀️💫

Now, she’s getting hands-on experience in cosmetology school and taking steps toward a future she can be proud of.
We can’t wait to see where this career choice takes her! The possibilities are endless when a young person has someone who believes in their potential. 💙

🚲💙 This is why mentorship matters!

Our professional mentor has been taking her mentee to Back Alley Detroit to learn how to repair, design, and maintain her bike. After all her hard work, she was surprised with a “big girl bike” of her very own! 🎉

It’s more than a bike, it’s confidence, independence, and a reminder of what’s possible when a young person has someone who believes in them. This is intentional mentorship in action! ✨

Creativity was in full color at the Detroit Dye House! 🌈🎨

Our youth spent the day alongside their mentors learning the art of tie-dye, designing one-of-a-kind shirts that reflect their unique personalities and creativity.

More than just making colorful shirts, this experience was about building meaningful connections, trying something new, expressing themselves, and creating lasting memories together.

We’re proud of the creativity, confidence, and community our youth continue to build, one colorful masterpiece at a time! 💙👕✨
