Growing your own food is empowering and often linked to reduced anxiety, higher self-esteem, and a greater sense of self-sufficiency. That is why Hope Village has partnered with for another plant giveaway right within Cool Cities Park.

This year, so many locals lined up to get their free plant that within 30 minutes, the supply had run out. To call the event a success would be an understatement! We had a blast 🥰🍅

We also discovered a family of newborn bunnies living right within the beautiful grounds of Cool Cities Park 🐰

NVI captures what matters most to Detroiters: safety, housing, parks, health, and opportunities. It then turns these insights into action. This month's Wellness Wednesday pertains to all of us, even those without diabetes! Our feet are our roots to the ground. They carry us from place to place, push the pedals in our cars, and provide us stability! That is why it is all too important to protect our feet in order to prevent serious complications from arising.

Therefore, next Wednesday will be a workshop on how foot complications can be prevented, whether or not you are diabetic. It will also be our last Wellness Wednesday before the start of our Farmers Market, so be sure to register using the QR code or link in our linktree and stop by!

Hope Village Revitalization is excited to announce a new funding opportunity for community-based organizations in Detroit!

We are seeking partners to lead programs that support family-based mental health, social connection, and physical wellness right here in our Hope Village neighborhood in Detroit.

Selected projects may receive up to $5,000 in funding to bring impactful ideas to life.

If your organization is passionate about supporting families and strengthening community wellness and works in the Hope Village neighborhood, we'd welcome your application.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through March 30, 2026
