Saving My Sistas, Inc. is now accepting applications to assist families with the 2026 Toys for Tots Program! 🧸❤️

👶🏾👧🏾👦🏾 ELIGIBLE AGES: 0–13 YEARS OLD

Children listed on the application must be between the ages of 0 and 13.

🎅🏾 IMPORTANT: Saving My Sistas is an application site assisting families with the Toys for Tots application process. Toys for Tots makes ALL final approval decisions.

Submitting an application to Saving My Sistas does NOT guarantee approval or toys.

Please complete the application and return it to the same location.

✅ YOUR APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE:

• Parent/guardian information
• Phone number
• Current address
• Each child’s name
• Each child’s age
• Each child’s gender
• Household/income information
• Any additional information requested on the application

Saving My Sistas is getting ready for our Annual Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 24th, and we need your help making it a fun and memorable night for the children and families in our community! 🩷👻

We are currently accepting bags of individually wrapped candy AND monetary donations to help us purchase candy, decorations, supplies, and other event needs. Every donation—big or small—helps! 🫶🏾

Detroit Police Department Domestic Violence Awareness Month Event 💜🦋

Honor lives and show support to survivors with our Domestic Violence Unit and Victim’s Assistance Program on Saturday, October 10th from 9AM to 2PM at Community Center at AB Ford, 100 Lenox.

💕 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY FOR SAVING MY SISTAS YESTERDAY 💕

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who shared our Clothing Drive flyer, donated items, spread the word, and came out to support us today. 🩷

The turnout was absolutely amazing!

Our first community member arrived at 9:00 AM — four hours before we opened! We told her we didn’t start until 1:00 PM, and sure enough, she came back at noon and waited. By 12:00, people were already beginning to line up, and once we opened, the clothing was moving FAST! 🙌🏾

Families and individuals were leaving with bags and bags of clothing and other essentials, and that is exactly what today was all about; making sure these items went directly into the hands of people who could use them. 🫶🏾

We also have to give an EXTRA SPECIAL THANK YOU Power, Hope, & Grace Bible Church! ⛪️💕🙏🏾

While we were at Nita’s Love Garden last night preparing for the drive, a wonderful woman pulled up and told us she had seen our post online. She and other members of her church came together to bless our community with an unexpected donation.

They brought baby toys, approximately eight boxes of food for families, disinfecting wipes, light bulbs, hats and gloves, and more! 🥹❤️

It was an unexpected blessing that meant more than we can express.

To the ladies of Power, Hope, and Grace Church, THANK YOU for seeing our post, believing in what we are doing, and choosing to pour into our community. Your generosity helped us serve even more people today. 🙏🏾

And to EVERYONE who donated, shared our post, volunteered, stopped by, or supported us in any way — THANK YOU!

Days like yesterday remind us why we continue doing this work. 🩷
