The 4R's inc. Our mission is to supply the people of Detroit with safe, vibrant, and energy efficient homes by res Recycle, Reuse, Rebuild, Restore.

Rebuilding communities by repairing neighborhoods one structure at a time. The 4R's is a community based non-profit organization aimed to combat blight in sections of the city. Our mission is to shine the light on what seems to be forgotten areas within the city by using the 4R's method. We feel our efforts will not only boost the beauty and economy of our city but will also restore the feeling of

community within our inner city neighborhoods. With the money raised from this campaign we will purchase our first property to begin the 4R process. The space will be used to build an eco friendly sustainable home, the first of many. We look forward to working with many of the contractors, city officials, and people in the community who strive to make Detroit better for everyone. Detroit is putting $9.2 million over three years into getting families out of shelters and into their own homes.

The Homeless to Housed program covers 6 to 12 months of rent plus security deposits, and comes with case management, help finding a place, working with landlords, and staying stable once you're in.

It prioritizes families with kids currently in emergency shelters, about 140 households a year. Mayor Sheffield says the goal is to move as many families as possible into housing before winter.

Families are selected through the city's shelter assessment process.

If your family needs shelter or housing help, the entry point is the Detroit Housing Resource HelpLine: 866-313-2520, Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 9 to noon.

We are partnering with Brilliant Detroit Brightmoor every Wednesday in May for community programming at their space.

Come out to their location at 15509 Heyden St, Detroit, MI 48223 every Wednesday in May 5pm-5:45pm.

And as always our community store and classroom are open for supplies and self guided projects. Come out and join us!
