Patriot Assistance Dogs

Hey all! We are currently working on remodeling our garage into a 10-dog kennel. While our dogs are receiving excellent care over at Marshmallow, it will make a big difference for our operations to move our dogs over to our property while we continue to raise funds for our big kennel build.

What we are looking for is a concrete worker who has time (almost immediately) to pour a cement pad (about 10x36 with some leveling prior to pouring) alongside our building and to trench into our garage floor (about 10 feet long) for our plumbing to get installed. We aren't getting much response from the contractors that we have reached out to and time is running short. Of course, as a nonprofit, we are hoping for reasonable prices.

Service Dog In Training, Millie, got the deluxe chauffeur service today at the Bachmann Boutique Hello Fall Festival. What a great event! Great weather, awesome vendors, food trucks and live music! We are here until 4pm! Come check it out.

Update on Anubis:

Anubis is currently staying with one of our trainers while he continues to get better.

The source of his illness is still somewhat of a mystery. We were able to rule out tick-borne illnesses, as well as leukemia. His immune system definitely took a hit, and they are still investigating the reasons. For now, he is getting weekly blood draws and his numbers are looking better and better. His exposure to other dogs outside of his foster home is being limited as much as possible, and we are working on getting some weight put back on him.

Hey all! We have our Serving Those Who Served Graduation event coming up on Sunday, September 20th. We could use some items for our Silent Auction. If you have any items that you would be willing to donate, we would definitely appreciate it.

Also, please join us at the event on the 20th. It is open to the public, doors open at 1pm at the Frazee Event Center. All we ask for is a free will donation for the food. Come out and see our teams from over the last year graduate!
