We had 9 successful donors provide 11 units and 7 whole blood and 2 double red cells donors. You all are a lifesaves!!!

Your donation is a vital lifeline that directly translates to hope and healing for patients undergoing surgery, cancer treatments, or recovering from trauma.
Each pint you provided can save up to three lives, bringing immense relief to patients and their families. Because blood products have a short shelf life—platelets for only 7 days and red blood cells for 42—your continuous, selfless generosity is exactly what keeps hospital shelves stocked and emergencies covered. We thank you, again, for rolling up your sleeve and making a lifesaving difference!

A most extraordinary day filled with love for God & Country! So thankful!! The American Legion is a community member & having so many from the community with us, was wonderful. A special shout out to Bobby Wagner, Mayor of Destin! Taps was beautifully played & his words at the ceremony were so heartfelt. We can all be proud of our village.

Memorial Day! May 25th at 11am please join us at the Destin Memorial cemetery. The guest speaker is Mike J. Risola. His message is memorable, to say the least!!! After the event, we invite you to join us at the Post. We are located at 311 Main Street. We will have hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken & sides. The Post is providing the meat & condiments. Pat McCongy is donating Pepperidge Farms buns. Sides & desserts are potluck but if you can't bring a dish, we hope you will come be with us anyway. This invitation is here for the community. We want you to come learn who we are & what the American Legion is.

Let me show you where the Destin youth come to practice wrestling, where we have Sunday breakfast, the community garden. Give me a few minutes to explain how we might impact your family. Boys State, Girls State, the Oratorical competition, scouting, veterans services, & so much more.

Blood Drive on May 25th (11AM - 4PM)

One Blood's Big Red Bus will be at the Post. Sign up to save a life and ensure your spot at https://donor.oneblood.org/donate-now.

Walk-ins are welcome so long as there's still a slot available (which is always worth trying). Space is limited and appointments are preferred and can be accomplished at https://www.oneblood.org/donate-now/scheduler.html?locationId=1590509

After you donate, you will be offered refreshments and drinks from the Big Red Bus. Donors will also receive a gift from One Blood AND a free made-to-order breakfast voucher to use Sunday mornings at the Legion.
