❤️ DESTIN, WE’RE HERE FOR YOU! ❤️
Our community has been through a lot over the last few days. While we are incredibly blessed that Destin sustained minimal damage, we cannot forget our neighbors who are still struggling. Some are still without power, many have lost everything in their refrigerators, and not everyone has the means to replace their groceries or afford a meal out.
So we’re coming together to help. ❤️
🍔 JOIN the Destin Rotary Sunset Club and Rotary Club of Destin TONIGHT FOR A HOT MEAL!
📍 Mattie Kelly Nature Walk – Gravel Parking Lot
🕔 Tonight at 5:00 PM
If you or your family could use a hot meal, please come see us! No questions asked, no judgment, and no explanation needed. We want to make sure our neighbors are fed and taken care of.
Unable to get out of the house to pick up food? Let us know! We will do our best to deliver a hot meal to you. You don’t have to go without food just because you can’t get to us.
A huge thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help make this happen. This is what community looks like. We may not be able to fix everything our neighbors are facing, but we can make sure they know they aren’t facing it alone.
Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible, especially those who may be struggling silently.
❤️ Destin, we take care of our own. We hope to see you tonight!

A RARE OPPORTUNITY — RIGHT HERE IN DESTIN!

The Rotary Club of Destin is truly honored to welcome Gen. Philip M. Breedlove, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and Commander of U.S. European Command, as our special guest speaker this coming Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Regatta Bay Golf & Yacht Club, Destin
7 a.m. (Bell rings at 7:15 a.m.)

This is an extraordinary opportunity to hear from a leader whose career placed him at the highest levels of U.S. and international military leadership.

Gen. Breedlove retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving as NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Europe and Commander of U.S. European Command. During his distinguished career, he also served as vice chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force and held numerous senior command and strategic leadership positions around the world.

A command pilot with 3,500 flying hours, primarily in the F-16, Gen. Breedlove flew combat missions in Operation Joint Forge/Joint Guardian and completed 11 overseas tours during his career.

Today, he is a Distinguished Professor of the Practice at Georgia Tech’s Sam Nunn School of International Affairs and serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlantic Council.

Have you been interested in ways you can serve in our community and want to find out more? You do NOT have to be a Rotarian to join us for breakfast! We warmly invite our members, friends, community leaders and those interested in learning more about Rotary or becoming a member to visit the Rotary Club of Destin and hear from this exceptional guest.

We are incredibly honored to have Gen. Breedlove spend the morning with our club, and we hope you’ll join us for what promises to be a fascinating and memorable program.

This morning our members and guests heard from Betty Jensen, District Chair of the Rotary Youth Exchange program. This is an amazing opportunity for a high school student to spend an academic year abroad. In addition, there are opportunities to host a student from another country here during the school year. Rotary has also introduced a Short-Term Exchange Program (STEP) during the summer. Your child is paired with another child, each spending 4 weeks in each other’s home. Have a child that may be interested, or if you’re interested in hosting a student, reach out and we will gladly provide more information. Membership in Rotary is not required!
