Due to heavy rain and flash floods on October 31, 2015, My Granny’s Memory 4th Annual Walk was rescheduled on November 7th.
Unlike years prior, this day was cold and rainy. Despite the weather, we gleefully walked the 1K route and released balloons to:
Honor individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia (yellow)
Encourage Caregivers (purple)
Remember our Alzheimer’s Angels (white)

Thanks to our dedicated donors, supporters and volunteers for braving the elements as we walked to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia with children and families.

We enjoyed a cold, windy and sunny day during our 3rd annual walk on November 8, 2014 to raise the awareness of Alzheimer’s and Dementia. Public Events Ambassador, Taliyah J, facilitated the balloon release ceremony with the assistance of our Ambassador Team Members - Darius G, Jordan K and Kayla S.

The team members released balloons to:

Honor those living with Alzheimer’s (yellow)
Encourage the Caregivers (purple)
Remember the Alzheimer’s Angels who have lost their battle to the disease (white)

My Granny's Memory 3rd Annual Walk for Alzheimer's will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 8:00am to 11:00am at Ernie Robert’s Park, 515 East Pleasant Run Road, DeSoto (East of Chattey Road and West of Townsend Drive). The dedication ceremony starts at 8:30am at the large Pavilion.

You may register on-line or on the day of the walk. The pre-registration fee is $25.00 for each adult which includes a t-shirt. The registration fee the day of the walk is $30.00. Children walk at no cost.

We hope that you will be able to join us for this great cause.

Pre-registration deadline is October 8th.

It was a cold day and a nice, long walk! The kids enjoyed the walk and Morgan too!

We released balloons to honor those with Alzheimer’s (yellow), encourage Caregivers (pink) and thank Donors (green).

The weather was beautiful! The kids especially enjoyed the walk, so did Morgan and Cannon (the dogs).
