Good morning, for all of The Sons of AMVETS Post 48 just a reminder that at our up coming meeting March 3rd 2026 we will be conducting the first round of nominations for the election of officers positions for the year 2026-2027. So please try to attend this meeting as it up to you as to who our officers will be this year.

Good morning, just a reminder for our Sons at post 48 that we have our monthly meeting coming up next week on Tuesday July 1st. We are also going to be putting the pork steaks in the marinade for the 4th of July. We will be getting to the post at midnight [ on 3rd/4th ] to get the fires started in the grill, so that we are done in time to start serving at 11:00 on the 4th. Any help with that will be greatly appreciated. The plan is also to draw the winning ticket for our current raffle at our meeting on the 1st. I look forward to seeing you there, have a great week.

Good evening to all, for the Sons of AMVETS of Post 48. If any of you still have any raffle tickets that we have been selling over the past month or so. Please get them or the ticket stubs that you sold turned in as soon as possible so that we can draw the wing ticket. And please don't forget that we have our monthly meeting coming up next week April 1st at 7:00 pm. I am looking forward to seeing you all there. Good Day everyone,I hope are doing well. For ALL of The Sons of AMVETS at post 48. I am asking if you able to please come to our next meeting [ Tuesday April 1 at 7:00 pm ] we would enjoy having you there to catch up with everything that been going on lately, and we have a lot matters that will effect our Sons Squadron for the next year. First order of business is the next meeting is the first round of nominations of our officers for the next year, then at our meeting following that in May we will have the second round of nominations and the elections of officers. The next thing at our April meeting is as you all probably already know that we are in the middle of our spring raffle and we could REALY use your help with that. I hope to see you there. And as always for all of the other organizations of post 48, please try to attend your organization's meetings as it's great to get together and it's very helpful to keep everyone updated on the events coming up at the post. Good afternoon, this message is directed to the members of The Sons of AMVETS both our Squadron 48 and our to of The Sons of AMVETS within the Department of Missouri. Gues are due by the end of the year. I just received word that if dues are paid after the first of the year there will be a late fee assessed on top of our annual dues. I don't mean to put a damper on the season but it is something that I thought all members should be aware of. With that said, I hope you all have a Bless holiday season.

Good Day, Sons of AMVETS Squadron 48. We had our monthly meeting last evening ( Tuesday May 7 2024 ) and we are going to draw the winning ticket for the Gun Safe on May 26th. So please if any of our Sons have any tickets left especially ticket that you have sold and have the money get them to the Post before May 24th, put them in an envelope and just put Sons on the outside of the envelope and give it to the bartender. I received information late yesterday evening ( 2.22.2024 ) that Larry Weber Sons Commander at Post 6 had fallen down some stairs at his home and is in the hospital in ICU. I spoke to his mother a little earlier today, and she told me he has spinal injuries and fractured skull with pressure on his brain and is at very critical point in his treatment. She also asked for prayers and that at this time to please refrain form going to the hospital for they only allow two people in right now and she wants that to only be family at this time. I will try to keep everyone updated as much as possible.

It is with a heavy heart and very deep sadness that I have to inform you that we lost an amazing person today. Arron ( Jr ) has told us that his father Richard ( BamBam ) Dean has passed away very early this morning. Please keep his family and friends in your prayers as they and all that know him are in shock right now
