🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨

The DeSoto Police Department announces the apprehension of Brandon Bussey, 50, and Jeremiah Stevenson, 36, in connection with a shooting that occurred on September 28, 2026, in the 500 block of Pond Springs Drive.

On September 28, 2026, at approximately 3:16 a.m., DeSoto Police officers responded to reports of a shooting at a residence. Upon arrival, officers learned that an adult male had sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

During the investigation, detectives obtained surveillance footage showing two armed individuals entering the residence and confronting the victim. Gunfire erupted during the confrontation, resulting in the victim being shot.

Through investigative efforts, detectives identified Bussey and Stevenson as the suspects and obtained arrest warrants for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

With assistance from the United States Marshals Service, investigators successfully located and apprehended both suspects.

Investigators also determined that Bussey sustained a gunshot wound during the incident and received medical treatment.

The DeSoto Police Department extends its appreciation to the United States Marshals Service and all assisting law enforcement personnel for their collaboration and efforts in bringing both suspects into custody
