๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations to The Supply Hive, recipient of the 2025 NAACP Organization of the Year Award! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ’œ

Born out of the 2020 movement for justice, The Supply Hive stepped forward with one mission, to nourish and sustain the people at the center of the fight. What began as an effort to support protesters with food, water, and essential supplies has grown into a community-centered organization advancing wellness, sustainability, and care for those most impacted by inequity.

Founded by Aaliyah Quinn and Zakariyah Hill, The Supply Hive has expanded its work far beyond the moment that sparked it, building programs that promote physical, mental, and spiritual well-being while uplifting social and environmental justice. Through a strong mutual aid network, they provide essential resources, redistribute food, offer education that strengthens community health, and support local events with the supplies needed to keep people safe and connected.

Please join us in celebrating The Supply Hive for their continued impact and visionary work in our community! ๐Ÿ’œ

๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Interfaith Alliance of Iowa, recipient of the 2025 NAACP Faith-Based Organization of the Year Award! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ’œ

Interfaith Alliance has been a steadfast voice for fairness, justice, and democracy in Iowa for nearly three decades. As a statewide, nonpartisan organization, they bring people of all faiths and no faith together to protect religious freedom, challenge extremism, and safeguard the rights of all Iowans.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Connie Ryan, Interfaith Alliance has become a trusted partner in the fight for civil rights. Their work includes advocating at the Statehouse, collaborating with community and social justice organizations, and empowering Iowans to use their voices on the issues that matter most.

Their commitment to protecting the line between religion and government, defending marginalized communities, and uniting diverse perspectives reflects the very heart of faith in action.

Please join us in celebrating Interfaith Alliance of Iowa for their extraordinary contributions to justice and community empowerment! ๐Ÿ’œ

๐ŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Sharon Zanders Ackiss, recipient of the 2025 NAACP Excellence in Advocacy Award! ๐Ÿ†

For more than thirty years, Sharon has embodied what true advocacy looks like, working alongside community members to confront injustice and build real, lasting change. As the Racial Justice and Equity Director for Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement, Director of the Des Moines Chapter, and Development Director, she has led campaigns that uplift the voiceless, strengthen grassroots power, and hold systems accountable.

A lifelong organizer, Sharon has built relationships, developed new leaders, and created a youth organizing program to ensure the next generation knows how to use their voices and shape their communities. Her work reflects deep courage, persistence, and a commitment to advancing civic and human rights for all people.

While her impact across Iowa is profound, Sharon considers her greatest achievement to be her family, who inspire her daily in her fight for a more equitable future.

Please join us in celebrating this remarkable advocate and leader! ๐Ÿ’œ
