Pumpkin carving, Halloween celebrations, ziplining, and unforgettable family memories are just around the corner!

We still have a few spots left for Camp Hertko Hollow's Fall Family Camp, and we'd love for your family to join us!

Fall Family Camp is coming up!

Looking for a weekend to connect, have fun, and experience a little bit of Camp Hertko Hollow before summer? Fall Family Camp at Camp Courageous is the perfect opportunity!

Family Camp is especially great for families who are new to the T1D community, recently diagnosed, or haven’t made it to camp yet. It’s a chance to meet other families who get it, build connections, and help your child feel more comfortable and confident about attending camp next summer.

And this weekend comes with some pretty awesome extras! Camp Courageous has an incredible facility with activities like:

🏊 Indoor swimming pool
🎉 Plus all of our fun Hertko Family Camp activities!

🚐 We were on the road this week!

Our Camp Hertko Hollow crew made the trip to La Crosse to join the Breakthrough T1D walk. We loved getting to connect with the La Crosse Type 1 diabetes community, meet new faces, and celebrate all the amazing people who continue to show up and support one another.

We’re grateful to have been part of the Variety - the Children's Charity of Iowa Grant Recipient Breakfast!

A special thank you to our board member, Bob Annexstad, and Camp & Family Programs Manager, Matt Shofroth, for representing Camp Hertko Hollow at this wonderful event.

This funding will help provide financial assistance in the form of camperships to our campers this summer, creating greater access to camp for families throughout Iowa.

A heartfelt thank-you to the Variety Iowa team for your continued support of Camp Hertko Hollow and all of our T1D families. We are so grateful for your commitment to helping our campers thrive! 💙
