Alpha Women’s Center offers a variety of confidential services, and we serve women and families regardless of age, race, religion or marital status. There are never any charges for our services. We Offer Free:
• Pregnancy Tests
• Maternity Clothing
• Baby Closet Items
• Classes, Videos, and DVDs
• Bible Studies
• Friendship and Support

We’re looking for an ultrasound model! 💙

Alpha is looking for a volunteer 6-13 weeks along in her pregnancy to serve as a model for a Nurse Assessment on Tuesday, September 8. Your participation helps our nursing team continue growing their skills as we provide compassionate care to women in our community.

Meet Jenny, our sweet ministry friend who has brought us beautiful bouquets to bless our clients. She and her husband Dave run Rooted Resplendence Farm, and they grow the most lovely flowers!

We are so grateful for their generous gifts as an expression of God's love to the women we serve. Jenny says she hopes that each one who receives a bouquet would know that just as God cares for the flowers in the fields, how much more He loves and cares for her. Well said, sister!

We’re looking for a small group of friends, a Bible study, a church group, or just a few people who enjoy good conversation around a table to join us for Fold & Fellowship on September 23 at our Ankeny center!

We’ll spend some time together enjoying fellowship, chatting and laughing, while tackling a few simple tasks to get Alpha’s newsletter ready to go.

It may seem like a small job—but these newsletters help us share what God is doing at Alpha, keep our community connected, and invite others into the work of supporting women and families.

The sweetest friends. ❤️

A precious Spanish-speaking client with a 4-month-old has loved coming to AWC so much that she brought her friend, who has a 1-month-old of her own!

Cléa got to love on both mamas and their little ones in their heart language—and help the new mama get signed up for our program, too.

We love seeing moms invite their friends into a place where they know they’ll be welcomed, supported, and loved. ❤

You Made It Better

We are so thankful for LawnOxygen Quality Landscape Solutions LLC for coming out to Alpha and going above and beyond to help us solve a muddy problem! 🌱

With our new shed in place, the drainage in front of it was creating quite a mess. Lawn Qxygen generously donated their time, labor, and supplies to move the drains and help give us a much more functional space.

We are so grateful for businesses in our community who see a need and step in to help. Your generosity makes a real difference at Alpha!

Prayer is an important part of what we do at Alpha. We don’t just want to meet physical needs; we want our clients to know they are seen, loved, and cared for by a God who has a plan for them.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to pray alongside women during some of the most important and difficult moments of their lives.

A small room with a BIG purpose. 💙

This little conference room may not look like much, but it plays an important role in something very exciting at Alpha Women’s Center.

Thursday was our first day offering ultrasound services for training at our Des Moines center! 🎉

Before an ultrasound, our nurse meets with each client for an intake—talking through her pregnancy, answering questions, gathering important information, and making sure she feels comfortable and cared for.

So we created a dedicated space for those conversations.

It’s currently the only room in our center with a table for meetings and client intakes, and now it has a new purpose: helping prepare the way for compassionate, life-affirming ultrasound care.

Sometimes big things begin in small rooms. 💙
