Friends of Iowa Casa Friends of Iowa CASA supports volunteer advocacy programs for children who experience abuse and neglect. We are the Friends of Iowa CASA & ICFCRB.

Since 1998, we have served as the non-profit partner of Iowa Child Advocacy Board (ICAB). We support volunteers who work tirelessly to defend the most vulnerable residents in our state - children. The Iowa Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to serve as an effective voice in court for abused and neglected children, strengthening efforts to ensure that each child is living in a safe, permanent and nurturing home. The Iowa Citizen Foster Care Review Board (ICFCRB) program recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to serve on local boards working to improve how permanency is achieved for Iowa foster children. More than 27 local Foster Care Review boards meet regularly to review the status of children who have been removed from their homes. The boards provide advisory recommendations that serve the child's best interests to the court and other social services and juvenile justice officials.
