The Catholic Foundation advances stewardship rooted in best financial practices and Catholic values investing. Sue McEntee, Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation of Southwest Iowa, has announced her retirement after seven years leading CFSWIA.

“This was not an easy choice, as the past seven years have been among the most meaningful and rewarding of my career,” McEntee wrote. She added that she looks forward to joining her husband, Scott, as they head into retirement.

In addition, the Catholic Foundation of Southwest Iowa announced that Bobbi Jo Smith will succeed McEntee as Executive Director. Smith currently serves as Director of Development & Marketing at Catholic Charities, Des Moines Diocese, where she has worked for the past four years. Prior to that, Smith spent many years at the Iowa State University Foundation working with individual donors and corporate investors.

The leadership transition is expected to begin within four to six weeks. McEntee will remain available in an as-needed capacity in the coming months to ensure a smooth transition for CFSWIA constituents.
