Iowa's Latino Heritage Festival

Iowa's Latino Heritage Festival Visit us on the web: http://www.latinoheritagefestival.org The festival is organized by volunteers, as Latino Resources, Inc .

Due to hundreds of volunteers who are dedicated to educating the community about the Latino culture, every aspect of the festival comes together for all to enjoy. The volunteers serve as chairs of the various committees to coordinate their designated areas of the festival. Everything from selecting the band line-up, ensuring all food vendors have the required credentials to dressing as popular car

toon characters, the festival relies on volunteers who spend months meeting and planning to ensure the details of their areas come together smoothly. This process develops leadership as the volunteer committees are able to present ideas, make decisions, collaborate with other community agencies and take ownership of an important and highly visual event.
