Central Iowa Homeschool Softball

Central Iowa Homeschool Softball Central Iowa Homeschool Softball is recreational softball program for homeschooling families in Central Iowa with children age 6 through graduation.

We play weekly games over the months of May and June. Please keep an eye on this page for updates. Every year now for well over a decade, in the spring, homeschool families from all over central Iowa gather together to play softball! It is not like secular little league in any way! We have fun, learn and compete, but most importantly, we glorify God in the process!

We are starting to have a number of inquiries. We plan to open registration on or around March 1st and it will be posted here as soon as it opens. An email to last years' participants will also go out. Games this year will be played on Monday nights, with the rain-out night being Friday. This is based on the availability of the fields. Look forward to seeing and speaking to many of you soon!

2025 Registration is open! We recommend registering on a computer as you will be prompted to print a fees worksheet at the end. Program costs have gone up. Registration is now $28 per player. The cost increase is due to insurance requirements to secure the fields. If any of you have any questions about the finances of Central Iowa Homeschool Softball, let us know. CIHS remains an entirely volunteer operated program.

It is crucial to the program that Dads are available to serve as umpires. A training session will be held before the season begins. More info is shared in the registration form.
