Air Volleyball Club Air is a youth volleyball club that offers the best volleyball experience to athletes between the age of 10 to 18 in the Chippewa Valley and surrounding area.

Air is dedicated to the promotion and improvement of volleyball in the Chippewa Valley. Club administrators and coaches are volunteers who are qualified to provide individual and team training in volleyball skills and strategy. Through this training process, we hope to expose the junior athlete to a healthy competitive atmosphere and to teach the values of teamwork, responsibility, motivation, discipline and good sportsmanship. Our program is dedicated to giving all members the chance to improve the many unique skills in the sport. We sincerely hope that by focusing on fundamentals, we will help provide the solid foundation that will enable our athletes to play volleyball not just in school, but long into adulthood, as well. This is in keeping with our contention that volleyball is truly a lifetime sport.

Coach says we need more energy….make a plan and to execute as a team 💪🏼🏐

Mindset Monday - How Do We Create Energy?

The default answer for a lot of teams when things aren’t going well is, “we need more energy”. After losing multiple points, how can a team manufacture energy? We can’t expect athletes to be excited and cheering out of their shoes when they’re on a multiple point scoring run.

So how do we create energy? Simplify the game. Make a plan and execute it.

We’re going to make one good pass, set the ball to this player, attack this area, and we’re going to side out.

Everyone executing their small part of the plan, we can celebrate accomplishing those tasks and the result is something you can cheer for. Executing a simple plan and celebrating that success is how teams can create energy.

One point at a time, no matter how tough the game is.

Simplify. Game plan. Execute. Celebrate.

Next time your team “needs more energy” bring your team together, make a plan, execute the plan, and celebrate the success. Let that be your teams default setting on how to create energy.
