7. A place where moral virtues are taught and through these teachings a regular reinforcement of the moral virtues is experienced.
8. A place to spend time with a group of brothers, who by acting as good men, make me want to become a better man. Not better than others, but better than I would have otherwise been.
9. A place to become better equipped to serve Church and community.
10. A place to meet with established members of the community and to become a part of the community.

On Thursday, 20 November, 2025, Worshipful Master David McCluskey presided at the Stated Meeting of Legacy Lodge wherein the annual election of Officers was our last order of business. The following Brothers were duly elected for the ensuing year:

Worshipful Master – Donald E. Kom
Senior Warden – Matthew M. Hoffmann
Junior Warden – Dallas M. L. Downey
Treasurer – Timothy J. Whipple, P∴M∴
Secretary – Thomas D. Cox, P∴M∴

Worshipful Master-elect, Donald Kom, announces the following Officer appointments for 2026:

Chaplain – Douglas L. Stephenson, P∴M∴
Senior Deacon – Shane A. Harshbarger, P∴M∴
Junior Deacon – Craig S. Long

The installation of all Officers will take place on Wednesday, 17 December, at 6 PM at the Des Moines Scottish Rite Consistory.
