Iowa Service Learning We are a supportive network for educators and community members working to incorporate high-quality service learning opportunities for Iowa youth.

Thank you for your interest in service learning and for understanding its value in the process of learning. In partnership with the Iowa Commission on Volunteer Service, Community Youth Concepts is proud to serve as the Lead Agency for service learning in Iowa. We are here to serve as a resource for you to make learning and implementing service learning as easy and successful as possible. We will

work together to help you gain a clearer understanding of what service learning is and why it is valuable. There are many resources available for us to share, including ourselves and our own impacting work.

Each year, students can get recognized by the Governor for their volunteer hours if they served more than 50 hrs. Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation Grants
Deadline: February 12

125 $400 grants are available for youth leaders ages 5-25 and 10 $1,000 grants are available to schools and organizations across the U.S. to turn their ideas into action and make an impact on the issue of childhood hunger on Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) – April 20-22, 2018 – and beyond. $400 Summer 2018 Sustainability Grants will also be awarded to up to 25 youth grantees to sustain and continue their GYSD projects.
