The bridge between education and the workplace who partners with schools to unlock student potential, build the future and invest in the next generation of leaders. iJAG is needed now more than ever to graduate students and prepare them for success in the workforce and life. iJAG is the premier non-profit organization connecting business and education to provide the most cost-effective dropout pre

vention and school to career solutions in Iowa. Students in the iJAG program have trouble making it in a conventional classroom because of the distractions and barriers at home, outside the classroom or even inside the classroom. Relying on real-world, project-based instructional methods and an unconventional approach to personal connections with students, the iJAG teaching specialists work within conventional learning environments to help remove barriers and show students how to achieve the next step of their career or education.

🏫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐉𝐀𝐆 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥?

At iJAG, we believe every student deserves someone in their corner—and opportunities that help them see what’s possible for their future.

That’s why we partner with schools to help students:

✅ Stay engaged and connected
✅ Discover their strengths
✅ Build leadership and workplace skills
✅ Explore careers and meet local employers
✅ Create a plan for what comes after graduation

Along the way, an iJAG Career Education Specialist becomes another trusted adult students can turn to for encouragement, guidance, and support.

If your school is looking for new ways to strengthen student engagement and career readiness, 𝐰𝐞’𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭.

Let’s create more opportunities for Iowa students—together. 💙

🇺🇸 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

Today, we celebrate the people whose hard work strengthens our businesses, communities, and state.

And as we begin Workforce Development Month, we’re also celebrating the young people preparing to become the workforce of tomorrow!

Every career explored, employer connection made, skill developed, and work-based learning experience helps an iJAG student take another step toward a successful future.

Here’s to the workforce of today—and the future workforce already getting ready for what’s next. 💙

🤲🏽 𝐀 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤!

Our Mason City iJAG crew and their awesome supervisor had the opportunity to participate in 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 on Wednesday!

The team volunteered at The Store, a nonprofit thrift store supported by donations, where they spent the afternoon cleaning, organizing, and sorting donated items.

We talk a lot at iJAG about leadership through service—and we love getting opportunities to put that into action!

Thank you to United Way of North Central Iowa-UWNCI and for letting us be part of such a meaningful day. We’re proud to serve alongside organizations making a difference in the communities we call home. 💙

Storm Lake iJAG students didn't just learn about careers last year—they experienced them!

Through internships and work-based learning, students explored healthcare, banking, welding, automotive technology, IT, journalism, horticulture, real estate, law enforcement, and more. Some even turned those experiences into jobs.

Thank you to Storm Lake Community School District, United Bank of Iowa, BVRMC, Iowa Trailer Manufacturing Company, LLC, , Storm Lake Honda, Cherokee Regional Medical Center, UnityPoint Health, and the many local employers and organizations that opened their doors, shared their expertise, and invested in students.

Together, you're helping students discover what's possible for their futures. 💙

🏆 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭, 𝐢𝐉𝐀𝐆’𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫!

For seven years, Denis Scott from John Deere has shown up for iJAG students at Roosevelt High School Des Moines Public Schools as a mentor, encourager, and trusted adult.

He has helped students prepare for careers, work through challenges, build confidence, and begin to see just how much they are capable of achieving.

And Denis’ impact doesn’t stop there. He has helped recruit new iJAG mentors, expanding the reach of mentorship to even more young people.

“𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆’𝒔 𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒍𝒆,” Denis shared.

That’s exactly why mentorship matters.

Thank you, Denis, for listening, believing, showing up, and investing in our students year after year.

Congratulations on being named iJAG’s first-ever 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫! 💙
