Brothers! Thank you all so much for joining last night to Raise Curtez Martin to the sublime degree of a Master Mason! It was a truly special night and it was great to have you all.

One more special thank you to our Worshipful Brothers from the Shrine Past Masters Club who knocked out amazing work. Special shout outs to WB Mike Jensen for a flawless first section, WB Allan Tedrow for his extended Trowel Lecture and WB Fred Erickson for my favorite (Canadian) Charge!

Brothers! Super fun recognition of our support of the Iowa Masonic Library Foundation from earlier in the year. We need to get the stage pic from Shawn, but here’s Brandon and I with our new cornerstone as given to us by MW AJ Brown at Grand Lodge. We will have it for you guys to check out at stated of course. Thank you all for your support and your charity. I’m so proud to be Capital!

Last night after our stated meeting was a very proud moment for our lodge and I wanted to share it here so our brothers that couldn't attend could enjoy as well. We voted unanimously to donate $10,000 to Iowa Masonic Charities in support of their campaign to fund Iowa's Masonic Library. Anyway, last night was also the Shepard's Tavern so immediately after the meeting Brother Mel cut the check and we ran upstairs to personally hand it over to Bill Northup, Brice Hildreth (who apparently ain't got the FB), and Shawn Mullihan who are some of the best people ever!

This is going to be a great year for our lodge and for Masonry in Iowa in general and it starts with us! Capital Lodge WILL continue to help build Masonry in Iowa any way we can. See you soon brothers!

Thank you to all who came to visit our installation today. I am so excited for 2025 and all the things our lodge will do.

Because I was shaky when saying it, full credit to Past Master W Dustin Burger for the best line of my remarks: “We are Masons, we lift each other up.”
