Savannahs Hope has several programs.
1) Add a little Hope- helps families with traveling expenses and meals for families while their child is in the hospital.
2) Savannah Shares- we deliver care packages filled with donated items like snacks, toiletries and activities for children in the hospital
3) Savannah Cares - We deliver grief totes to families who have a loss of a child.
The books below are added to our grief totes.
A second children’s book is in the making.

Meet Savannah page.
After they had flown Savannah to the children’s hospital in St Paul she endured 3 long months in the medically induced coma .
She had many surgeries while there. She first received a tracheotomy after been intubated for too long. She had several ports placed for all the medications she was receiving. She unfortunately had to have an illiostomy ( probably spelled wrong) . She quickly became our young hero and her silence was deafening and hurt our heart’s waiting to hear her voice again.
So many prayer warriors lifted Savannah and us up during this time. We’ll never forget!

After losing our Savannahs Hope website we’re trying to document parts of the website on our pages.
Continued below:
Savannah’s childhood was pretty normal. Savannah was very , very shy. She loved the Lord and was a very focused individual.
She loved babies and children and taking care of them. She loved her family and friends.
When she got to know someone she loved chatting with them. Miss her chatter💕
Savannah started having migraines at a very young age and something called Klein Levin syndrome that started at the age of 14. Klein Levin is a sleeping disorder ( so to speak).
To this day we are unsure if it is related to Mitochondrial Diseases but we believe a medication they put her on for headaches caused damage to her Mitochondria causing her to have the sleeping episodes and eventually the beginning of the mitochondria issues.

Savannahs journey from our website:
We found out after Savannahs passing and autopsy that Rolland and I had passed on recessive genes causing a mitochondrial disease .
Our daughter shouldn’t have lived passed 18 months.
After her passing we were told it was called Alpers Syndrome.
All the extra years were a gift but would never be enough…..

17 years ago our daughter Savannah started having seizures out of the blue. She was only 17. Savannah was placed in a medically induced coma at Blanks Children’s Hospital in Des Moines and flown to Children’s Hospital in St Paul.

This morning another child with mitochondrial disease left this earth for his eternal home. Breaks my heart. Please pray for Ashers family.
I’m sure there are many more children who lost their battle too.
We we’re honored to pray for Asher during his journey 😢

UPDATED AGAIN!!
We are only 3 days away from delivery!!!
I’ve received 4 donations, thank you to those 4 from the bottom of my heart!!
We haven’t made even 1/4 of our goal but I pray we can at least make it half way.
Some of you knew Savannah, some didnt.
Savannah was the type if she earned $20.00 she’d spend the first 10% on tithes and she’d spend a little on family and friends too, before herself . She was a very giving individual .
Why do I share this?
Because Savannah is in Heaven and cant help the kids at the hospital without your donations !!
Our original goal was to raise 2000.00 for courageous cards, which would allow them to bless 17 kids a month. That’s really only 4 kids a week if I’m doing the math right.
So far I’ve received 2 donations.
The hospital asked for 10 adult care package bags when we take the courageous cards to them, which cost Savannah's Hope 125.00. That’s only 10 bags, we use to raise enough for 100!
I share this because we GREATLY need help.
Savannah would have been 34 this year! A tough birthday for us! 17 years with us , will soon be 17 years with our Lord.
One of our programs is our courageous cards ! It’s an incentive given to a child or teen at the hospital when they are facing a needle poke ( even adults hate those) or a test being ran that might be scary!

We no longer have our fundraisers so this is the only way for now that I can ask for help.
I’m afraid if we don’t raise enough we will be telling the hospital we can no longer help. A sad , sad day for this mama…
Donate if you feel led, if not , please pray we don’t have to quit blessing families…

Its my birthday.!!!!
You ask what do I possibly want for my birthday ? I want help in blessing children in the hospital !!
So far we have one donation so we have at ways to go!
