Check out these leaders from District Council 81 at the most recent NABTU Legislative Conference: Apprentice Rylee Holub (Glaziers Local 581, IA) — chair of DC 81’s Women’s Committee and recording secretary of her local; Tyreese Whisenton (painter & finisher, Local 79 Financial Secretary, CO; originally from IL); and Penny Logsdon (retiree, PPME 2003) — still active and engaged in union work. Pictured with District Council 81 Director of Service Derek Molyneux, they joined building trades leaders and representatives from across North America to raise and amplify the concerns of our members, learn about other trades’ priorities, and speak with representatives on Capitol Hill about the harmful impacts of restricting collective bargaining—calling on officials to protect jobs, close wage gaps, and defend the middle class. Proud to see our members lifting up working families. (Left to right: Derek Molyneux, Rylee Holub, Tyreese Whisenton, Penny Logsdon)
