Central Iowa Trail Association CITA (Central Iowa Trail Association) is a 501c3 non-profit organization and local chapter of the International Mountain Biking Association.

We build & maintain singletrack trails for mountain biking, but also welcome hikers & other trail users. Central Iowa Trail Association is an Iowa not-for-profit corporation formed in 1998. Our organization creates dirt singletrack trails for mountain bikers, but also welcomes trail runners, hikers, and nature lovers. We are an International Mountain Bicycling Association chapter and trained to bu

ild sustainable single-track by IMBA's Trail Care Crew. Our central purpose is the world-class design, construction and maintenance of trails in partnership with city, county, state and private landowners. CITA also educates land managers and trail users through advocacy and outreach. Most importantly, CITA is 100% volunteer-led; our capacity is defined largely by our board, members and volunteers – individuals and organizations who want to create quality outdoor experiences and, especially, value single-track. What a fantastic turnout for last night's Monday Night No-Drop Ride at Center Trails - the group was big enough we could barely fit everyone in the photo!

Nearly 30 riders allowed us to split up into two groups, with a great time had by all.

A huge thank you to Randy and Deb Anderson for their incredibly generous donation to CITA!

They donated a like-new DR string trimmer that will be a huge help in keeping our trails cleared, safe, and looking great for everyone who rides, hikes, and enjoys our trail systems. Equipment like this makes a real difference and helps our volunteers spend more time improving trails and less time fighting overgrowth.

Perfect conditions for our inaugural Thursday Night Ladies Ride of the season! We were 15 ladies strong, and it was truly a “no drop” ride…no drop if you take a wrong turn ending up at the railroad tracks 😂…no drop if that slow leak in your tire finally flows faster than your pedals 😂…no drop if you miss a move and skin your knee 🦵💪🏼

No drop means no one gets left behind! All smiles and the power of nature to clear your mind 🍃 🚲
