🎉 1,100 clients served and counting! 🎉

Today, the Men on the Move Clothing Closet served our 1,100th client of the year! We’re so grateful to everyone who helps make this possible and allows us to continue supporting men in our community.

We’re always in need of men’s pants in size 36 and smaller including suit pants, work slacks, and jeans.

We also gladly accept:

-Full suits
-Belts
-Dress shirts
-Sweatshirts
-Shoes of any kind

Every donation helps a man feel prepared, confident, and ready for what’s next.

Today is the final day of service for our Youth Connect AmeriCorps Member, Larissa!

This summer, Larissa supported the Men on the Move clothing closet by processing more than 100 large clothing donations and keeping the closet organized throughout nearly 500 client visits.

Larissa is absolutely wonderful, and we are so grateful for the time, dedication and care she brought to our team and the clients we serve. Thank you, Larissa, for an incredible summer of service! 👏

We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Idehen's leadership over the past two years during a period of significant growth, change, and transition for the Evelyn K. Davis Center for Working Families. His dedication, guidance, and commitment to our mission have helped strengthen the Center and position us for continued success. 🚧 Parking Lot & Driveway Update

Our parking lot is getting some updates, and our main driveway is currently closed during construction.

Please use the south driveway when visiting us. Please use the same door as usual. Our main entrance is expected to reopen on Monday.

We love seeing young people gain valuable work experience and discover new opportunities through our Y-ExCL summer employment program! 💙

Congratulations to Melayna on a great summer at the East Side Library, where she gained hands-on experience, built new skills, and explored the world of public librarianship.

This summer Melayna worked at the East Side Library as a part of the Y-ExCL summer employment program operated by the Evelyn K. Davis Center For Working Families.

This summer she had the chance to learn about public librarianship, assist with storytimes, help check in library materials, organize the craft inventory, and create a teen poetry display.

A total of three students worked in the library this summer as a part of this program. The other students worked at the Franklin Avenue Library, and in the library Community Engagement Department!
