Iowa Right to Life has released our 2026 Candidate Pro-Life Questionnaire Responses to help educate voters on where candidates stand on key life issues.

Candidates included in this guide responded affirmatively to all three questionnaire areas, including support for additional pro-life laws, Life at Conception legislation, and laws to eliminate or limit chemical abortion.

This publication is not an endorsement of any candidate. It is intended solely as an educational resource for voters who want to better understand candidate positions on issues related to the protection of human life.

Tell the FDA to end chemical abortions. The National Committee for a Human Life Amendment is encouraging you to send a message to Acting FDA Commissioner Diamantas and ask him to take action to protect women and unborn children against the chemical abortion drug, mifepristone. The use of chemical abortion drugs is staggering, now accounting for 63% of all abortions. Hundreds of thousands of unborn children die each year as a result. America's women are suffering the consequences. One out of every 10 women who use the drug experiences a serious adverse event, such as hemorrhaging, infection, or sepsis.

The U.S. Supreme Court is deliberating on whether to temporarily block the mail-order distribution of the chemical abortion drug mifepristone, but the FDA can and should act now.

You can also join us at the State Capitol on Saturday, June 20, for the Iowa March for Life, with a rally starting at 1 p.m. Des Moines Bishop William Joensen is scheduled to speak at the event, along with other pro-life leaders. Following the rally, there will be a walk to the Iowa Supreme Court building and back.

We give thanks for you and all our fellow pro-lifers who support the mission of NCHLA Human Life Action with their time, talent and treasure. It is our privilege to stand with you in this battle to restore respect and legal protection for the preborn and their mothers.

There will be pro-life signs available to hold as you walk. Wear your pro-life or patriotic T-shirts if you have them. The more parade walkers we have, the stronger our message for LIFE!

Bring your family, friends, and church members, and walk for LIFE in the parade. Then stay and enjoy the Raccoon River Days fun!

Please meet at 10:15 a.m. in the south parking lot at the Van Meter High School football field, located at 520 1st Avenue, Van Meter, IA 50261.

The parade officially starts at 11:00 a.m.

Are you a teenager or young adult passionate about protecting the pre-born, but searching for the most effective way to accomplish this goal? Do you know anyone who fits this description?

Join Dubuque County Right to Life, Inc. (DCRTL) July 16-18 for the Life Advocate Intensive (LAI) run by Protect Life Michigan (PLM), where you will become equipped to defend your pro-life convictions and have transformative, heart-changing conversations with people on abortion!

You’ll learn from expert pro-life speakers on how to answer pro-choice arguments, and then you’ll practice your skills through conversation in the streets of Michigan! PLM promises that “You’ll leave empowered to speak the truth with confidence, equipped to make an impact, and inspired by the community of pro-life leaders you’ve trained and served with.”

For those wishing to travel with DCRTL to Grand Rapids, MI for an impactful three days, we will depart Dubuque on July 15 and return on July 19. This opportunity is open to high school and college students, and young adults. If you’re ready to advocate for the pre-born babies, fill out a Google form via the QR code below, as well as register directly through Protect Life Michigan’s website at https://www.protectlifemi.org/intensive. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, additional travel costs (hotel stays & gas) will be provided by DCRTL. You are only responsible for PLM’s registration fee (which includes hotel stays during LAI, food, training and materials).

Iowa Right to Life remembered the fallen at the Memorial Day Parade in Indianola, Iowa.

We honor the brave men and women in uniform who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live free, including the freedom to advocate for the protection of unborn children and defend the sanctity of life.

Their courage and devotion inspire us to keep fighting for what matters most: protecting the most vulnerable among us.

The freedoms these heroes died to protect are deeply connected to our mission to save innocent lives.

Their sacrifice reminds us of the precious gift of life and liberty, and of the responsibility we share to honor both.
