We are honored to share a significant milestone for our community. We understand that finding a final resting place that honors our faith and traditions is a priority for every family. To serve this need, we are pleased to announce that an Islamic Cemetery is now available for the Afghan community here in Iowa.

Our mission is to be by your side through every chapter of life, sharing in your moments of joy and standing firm with you in times of sorrow. You do not have to navigate these difficult decisions alone; we are here to walk with you, shoulder to shoulder.

We provide dedicated support to help you enroll in the cemetery program and understand the services available. Whether you are planning for the future or in immediate need, we are here to guide you through every step.

These laptops mean so much to our Afghan youth and families. They help with school, learning new skills, and staying connected as people build their new lives here. Tech Gift Foundation is always amazing to work with, kind, hardworking, and committed to helping the community.

We also want to encourage our community: if you have any tech you don’t use or no longer need, laptops, tablets, or phones, please consider donating them to Tech Gift Foundation. They repair and prepare the devices, then make sure they reach people in the community who truly need them.

با نهایت تأسف به اطلاع می‌رسانیم که حاجی صاحب اکبر جان، پدر گرامی آصف اکبرزای، دار فانی را وداع گفته است.
نماز جنازه ایشان در تاریخ ۲۷ جنوری ۲۰۲۶ در ولایت خوست افغانستان ادا گردید و در قبرستان اجدادی‌شان به خاک سپرده شدند.

به‌منظور ثواب‌رسانی به روح مرحوم، ختم قرآن و فاتحه برگزار می‌گردد:

To our Christian friends and neighbors, we share in the joy of this holy season and thank you for the warmth, support, and generosity you have shown Afghan families who now call Iowa home.

Afghan Partners in Iowa is heartbroken by the violent attack on two National Guardsmen in Washington, D.C.
These brave individuals put their lives on the line for the safety and security of our nation, and seeing them harmed in such a senseless act deeply pains our entire community.
Our hearts, prayers, and full compassion go out to the injured Guardsmen, their families, and everyone shaken by this tragedy. No family should ever face such fear and uncertainty, and no act of violence should ever be tolerated.
We stand together — as Afghans, as Iowans, and as partners in peace — to condemn this attack and to reaffirm our commitment to unity, respect, and the protection of all who serve.
