Help us welcome Anna!
Anna Forrester (she/her) believes healing is a relational, ongoing process that involves both inner awareness and authentic connection with others and the community. She offers therapy as a grounded space to reflect, explore, and reconnect with your intuition, values, and strengths. At the heart of her work is the belief that clients deserve care that is collaborative, affirming, and centered on their autonomy. Anna strives to create a warm, inclusive, and empowering space where clients can show up as themselves, feel heard, and move toward meaningful change.
Anna can offer care to adolescents and adults navigating perinatal mental health concerns, grief and loss, life transitions, identity exploration, body image, and support individuals with diverse identities and experiences. She values culturally responsive care and is committed to honoring each person’s unique identities and lived experiences.
Anna’s diverse background includes intensive case management supporting young adults aging out of foster care and individuals experiencing homelessness, as well as work as a full-spectrum doula, childbirth educator, advocate, and group facilitator. These experiences have deepened her appreciation for the healing power of relationships, community, advocacy, and holistic, person-centered support. Anna is a licensed master social worker (LMSW) in Iowa. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Iowa State University and her Master of Social Work from Columbia University. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time outdoors exploring nature and gardening, traveling, creating art, and making memories with family and friends.
