SAFE SPACE PROM IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER!!

LGBTQ2SIA+ youth are invited to show up and share joy at this year’s Safe Space Prom!

We are excited to be partnering with the to offer this space for Iowa’s q***r youth on May 9th, 2026 from 7:00-10:00.

This year there will be pizza, desserts, beverages, photo booth station & beats by

Not enough time to do your makeup? Or hair? No problem, you can snag a spot to get your makeup and hair done by some of DSM’s finest. This year we will be holding get ready sessions before prom. But spots are limited! So make sure you reserve your spot!

So don your q***r apparel and get ready to dance the night away!

Hey y’all! We’re doing something a little different this month for art gathering and hosting with our friends at ☕️🌈 We will have the back table reserved for art activities and then while you’re creating feel free to grab a drink on us!

We are so excited to help LGBTQ+ youth explore new, welcoming spaces to be themselves. Our friends create such a warm and inviting environment. Hope to see you there and feel free to reach out with questions!

Gather those hearts!! There’s a lot going on right now in the political landscape and with the Iowa legislative session. We want to continue providing safe spaces for community members to come together. So we are kicking off our next round of art gatherings next week. We try to keep this space as fluid as possible and attendees are able to show up in any capacity they are able to.

So whether you have a some love to give or need some given to you we hope to see you there! And remember to keep taking care of yourself ❤️
