Iowa Chin Community

Iowa Chin Community Iowa Chin Community is a volunteer-driven nonprofit committed to supporting Chin and Burmese speakers as they navigate language barriers.

Rooted in faith, we carry one another’s burden in Christ’s love, serving with compassion and understanding. Objectives:
- To educate the community on matters relating to the Chin language by providing interpretation and translation services from Chin/Burmese to English and vice versa.

- To provide supports services to the community for immigrants and refugees in need such as providing information

, orientation, supportive counseling, and referral services on issues including immigration, health and welfare, medical-dental care, education, housing, employment, worker's compensation, human rights, consumer's protection, fair labor practices, and landlord and tenant relation.

- To provide education and counseling to needy persons on the drafting of resumes, searching for employment, and obtaining the skills and training necessary for successful integration into the labor market.
