Every Year a group of people from our neighbor gets together to Feed the Homeless on Thanksgiving. The only rule is that everybody brings a warm dish. A vegetable casserole, some mashed Potatoes, maybe Grandma's Famous Cranberry Stuffing !! We put all the food into ToGo containers. We add warm socks, slightly used sweaters and emergency hygiene Kits. Then we hop in our cars and drive around handing the packages out to men, women, and children that live on the streets. We started doing this 22 years ago by feeding 9 people on our street in Los Angeles. Every year our friends in different cities and different states ask if they can help too. Last year, together, we fed 32,000 people in 18 cities nationwide. Gobble Gobble Give would like you to join us this year. We are a Family friendly event. We meet at 9 am and are done by noon. Welcome to the family Des Moines !!!
