🚨 Calling all volunteers for the Korean Village!

Hey Friends,

CelebrAsian is coming up on May 22–23 🎉We are looking for volunteers for the Korean Village 🇰🇷

Volunteers will work in pairs, 3-hour shifts.Sign up with friends or family!

Your role will be helping with Korean cultural items sales and guiding visitors.

🎁 All volunteers receive 1 free K-Street Food voucher🚗 Free parking available at Nationwide parking ramp

What a day! 🌿 On Saturday, May 2, youth and adults from the neighborhood in Ankeny came together to clean up Precedence Park and spread mulch—and wow, did they show up!

Over 25 people joined throughout the afternoon from 12–6 PM and together we spread 160 bags of mulch 💪

We even took a moment to celebrate the start of summer by playing with worms! 🪱

🌼 Next up: We will be at the park again on May 15 as we plant flowers in the flower beds!

🌿 It’s Time for Neighborhood Park: Taking Care of It Together! 🌿

Big news! 🌱📣📣

KASI has been awarded the 2026 Hershey Heartwarming Young Heroes Grant to launch ”Neighborhood Park: Taking Care of It Together“—a youth-led initiative focused on cleaning, maintaining, and beautification.

Come join the volunteer efforts at the official launch on May 2nd (weather pending). More details to come.

We will be celebrating both Global Youth Service Day and Earth Day on April 25 at the Ames Korean School. Let’s take care of our community—together. 🤩

On April 12, the KASI executive team met in Ames for a meeting and dinner. It was such a fun time, especially it had been a while since we all got to see each other!
