On Tuesday, December 6th, the Iowa Events Center is hosting an Event & Entertainment Career Fair from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Wells Fargo Arena! This is a unique career fair experience that focuses on the event and hospitality industry. Event will include employer categories such as sports, entertainment, trade work, hospitality, hotels and meeting spaces.

Music University is an annual conference and showcase presented by the DMMC for musicians and music industry workers in Iowa. This year's theme is building sustainable careers in music. Join us (10/23) for a full day of workshops, panels, keynotes, and connecting with others in our music ecosystem.

Just announced: Music University, a conference and showcase for musicians and music industry workers in Iowa, featuring Dessa and other guests TBA October 23 at Drake University. Thanks to our supporters and in light of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on our local music economy, the conference portion of this year's MU is FREE to attend and open to all ages.

Want to work at a music festival? Our friends at First Fleet Concerts are looking for staff to help with Hinterland Music Festival in a variety of positions such as set up/tear down, ADA runners, staff catering runners, ice runner, etc.

Set up/Tear Down date needs: 7/25 - 8/1 & 8/8 - 8/15
Festival Staff date needs: 8/1 - 8/7

Pay starts at $15/hour and increases to $18/hour for overtime

Lodging, food/drinks, and showers will be provided on site and employees are encouraged to stay on site when possible!

We wanted to thank everyone that came to our inaugural event, the Music Industry Job & Volunteer Fair, last week! We had so much fun meeting all of you and learning more about what you're looking for out of the local industry. We hope you had as much fun as we did!

When we started Community Love Music Foundation, our mission was to ensure the local industry would never again suffer the way it did during the pandemic.

One of the greatest current needs we are seeing, like many industries, is music organizations finding staff, volunteers and the right people needed to put on successful music events in Des Moines.

Our job & volunteer fair on May 11 is the first of its kind in Des Moines.
