Auxiliary 9127 received Circle of Excellence. What an amazing accomplishment! We enjoy helping Veterans and getting out in the community as much as we can. Let's keep doing what we do best helping Veterans, their family and the community! We ROCK!

Auxiliary 9127 continues to get out into the Community and trying to follow the Auxiliary mission.

"To improve the lives of veterans, service members, and their families, and to strengthen communities."

Shari and I took cupcakes to Fire Station #9 and West Des Moines Police Station.

Please spread the word that 5th District Auxiliary is having a bake sale at Fat Putter (mini golf) 713 Walnut St Des Moines, IA 50309.
This would be a fun activity in a group, date night, with friends, or family.

Auxiliary member Paula Anne Sheridan and I loved creating these little reindeers with candy cane horns for the Veterans at Independence Village in Beaverdale.

Heather Brown Jacobus, Jen Saffell, and I knit (some of us are still learning lol). With Heather's help with making knitted Poppies for our Poppy display. Which turned out amazing. Group effort that put the vision to reality!

Do you have a craft or a hobby that you love/like to do? Over the years we have tried to get the members and the community more involved.

Every single member is VALUABLE! I'm happy and thankful to be apart of this organization!

The Beaverdale VFW Auxiliary is participating in the West Des Moines Human Services Giftland Kid/Teen Toy Drive. We have a drop box at our Post, 4029 Urbandale Avenue, Des Moines. Thank you for your help to give young people a great holiday!
