There are two parts to DSMCC:
1.) A Slack chat- which is linked above and in our bio-where anyone can donate or request goods/services from one another (requests can be made anonymously!) including transportation services, food, clothing, tutoring services, hygiene products, baby items, translation services, you name it! Join the Slack chat to get involved in mutual aid in our community!
2.) The creation and distribution of Houselessness Essentials Care Packages which include many essentials our houseless neighbors may need such as a tent, a sleeping bag, a tarp, food, water, hygiene products, socks, gloves, DART bus tokens, a document of hotlines and local resources, etc.
Each Houselessness Essentials Care Package costs a fair amount to make, so DSMCC is in need of donations to be able to start making and distributing these care packages to those who could benefit from them! So, if you can, please donate to our PayPal (also linked above and in our bio) to help houseless members of our community have a safe winter!
