On this Giving Tuesday, we're seeking donations to aid our business's progress by establishing ourselves as a 501(c)(3) foundation. Our goal is to transform this dream into reality while supporting more Iowans who are battling with cancer. I am Jess, the founder of Fiercely Brave Foundation, previously known as Fighting Through Kinship. Our organization began in 2021 as a Breast Cancer 5K walk/run, which witnessed a turnout of over 500 people and raised $30,000. The following year, we had even greater success with over 600 people participating and raising $40,000. Unfortunately, we had to pause our activities this year (2023) as we rebranded and aim to establish ourselves as a legitimate 501.c3 foundation. However, with my husband currently unemployed, and my personal involvement in cancer care, we are unable to pay for the necessary legal fees required to establish our foundation correctly. Thus, we're currently unable to progress until we can secure the funds required to make our aspirations a reality. We would be extremely grateful for any support that could help us during this challenging time. Our primary goal is to continue assisting cancer patients by donating to local cancer organizations in Iowa. I do not take any money personally; instead, all proceeds are directed towards helping those in need within our community.
