Our Social Committee plans fun outings, even when it is rainy. Members went to Valley Junction and took a tour of the Jordan House, had lunch at Heavenly, and toured Cirque Wonderland.

Visit desmoineswomensclub.com/scholarships to apply for one of our eight scholarships for graduating high school seniors and ten scholarships for current college students. The Des Moines Women’s Club welcomes applications from any student whose home residence during high school, or whose current post-secondary school, is located in one of these eight Iowa counties: Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Marion, Madison, Polk, Story, or Warren. Up to $77,000 may be awarded to students in the Fall of 2027!

🎤 Meet a Teller: Bopha Mom-Baccam!
Bopha Mom-Baccam is a wife, mother of four, real estate agent, and lifelong Iowan who is proud to be the youngest of eleven children in a Cambodian refugee family. As the only child born in the United States, she grew up surrounded by stories of resilience, sacrifice, and rebuilding, but it wasn't until adulthood that she began asking the questions that helped her truly understand her family's emotional journey. A simple question from her husband sparked an unexpected voyage of self-discovery, leading her to reconnect with her own identity while deepening her relationships with those she loves most. Through curiosity, reflection, and meaningful conversations, Bopha discovered that some of life's greatest transformations begin with a single question.
