💚BIG NEWS FOR KADI & OUR COMMUNITY! 💚
We are incredibly grateful to the Polk County Board of Supervisors for making an important investment in Knock and Drop Iowa (KADI) and the work happening every day at the Knock and Drop Iowa Food Pantry.
This investment in paid staffing is a huge step forward for our organization. For so long, much of this work has been carried by dedicated volunteers, partners, and people willing to step in wherever needed. But as food insecurity continues to impact families, seniors, working households, and neighbors across our community, we need a reliable team to help us meet that growing need.
This support will help us strengthen pantry operations and continue providing evening pantry hours, giving working families and others who cannot access food assistance during traditional daytime hours another opportunity to receive the support they need.
❤️A very special thank you to Polk County Supervisors Angela Connolly and Mark Holm, and to the entire Polk County Board of Supervisors, for listening, understanding the need, believing in the work KADI is doing, and investing in the people we serve.
We also want to recognize Annie, Rachel, and Mak for their support throughout this process. Thank you for your guidance, collaboration, conversations, and willingness to work alongside us to help make this possible. We truly appreciate everything you have done to support KADI and our community. 💚

💚¡GRANDES NOTICIAS PARA KADI Y NUESTRA COMUNIDAD! 💚
Estamos inmensamente agradecidos con la Junta de Supervisores del Condado de Polk por realizar una importante inversión en Knock and Drop Iowa (KADI) y en el trabajo que se lleva a cabo todos los días en Knock and Drop Iowa Food Pantry.
Esta inversión en personal remunerado representa un gran paso para nuestra organización. Durante mucho tiempo, gran parte de este trabajo ha sido posible gracias a voluntarios dedicados, organizaciones aliadas y personas dispuestas a ayudar donde más se necesitaba. Pero a medida que la inseguridad alimentaria continúa afectando a familias, adultos mayores, hogares trabajadores y vecinos de nuestra comunidad, necesitamos un equipo estable que nos ayude a responder a esta creciente necesidad.
Este apoyo nos permitirá fortalecer las operaciones de nuestra despensa y continuar ofreciendo horarios de atención por la tarde y noche, brindando otra oportunidad de acceso a familias trabajadoras y a quienes no pueden acudir durante los horarios tradicionales del día.
