Girls on the Run participants had their practice 5k today. They did amazing conquering our hilly neighborhood! Way to go girls! 👏🏻

They’ll be running in the official 5k on November 8th at Principal Park. Spectators encouraged! 🏃‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏿‍♀️

Thanks to all who participated in the One Run! We had a 3 way tie for the class with the most participants. Congrats to students in Vasquez, Esch, and Nordmeyer for earning donuts for your class! 🍩

⭐️ Hanawalt Committee Lead highlight! ⭐️

Amanda Carroll leads the Teacher Appreciation Committee. She and her husband Anthony have two daughters, Elizabeth in 4th grade at Hanawalt and Molly in 6th grade at Merrill.

The Teacher Appreciation Committee provides meals, snacks and other fun activities like massages to celebrate our amazing teachers & staff. You can support the committee by donating and supporting activities like Holidays at Hanawalt, party and conference meals as well as Teacher Appreciation Week in May.

Ideas and volunteers always welcome! The committee loves to support Hanawalt community member businesses.
