The Tony Waguespack Memorial provides donations made through the Golf Tournament to the Tony Waguespack Memorial “Living the Dash” Scholarship, presented each year to Hahnville High School graduates in Tony’s memory.

TAKING MORE HOLE SPONSORS
While postponing wasn’t what we wanted, it does extend the opportunities for more hole sponsors. If you, or a person/business you know, would like to sponsor the event, I can still get signs made. Hole sponsorship is $100. We will have a sign made with a logo and display it on a hole for the entire day of our event.

The new date will be Friday, July 10th for the 9th annual T-Wag Memorial Tournament.

I’m currently in contact with teams to discuss if they can still make the new date. Undoubtedly, they’ll be teams that the date doesn’t work for. So if you were not available before, but can make the new date, contact me asap to put a team in, and I’ll get you in if there’s room. I will start a waiting list and add teams as availability arises, on a first signed up basis.

We know it’s not ideal to fight Louisiana summertime heat, but options were severely limited. We will just have to find a way to stay ‘hydrated’.

Thank you for always supporting the memorial, and we again apologize for the inconveniences.

UPDATE!!!
Unfortunately, the weather forecast keeps getting worse.
I believe God has reasons for this date to not be the right one for us.
So we will regrettably postpone the tournament for now. A new date will soon be announced.
Once the date is set. I will get in touch with every team representative individually to check availability and issue refunds for those paid, if the new date doesn’t work out.
I hope everyone understands this decision was not made easily. The last thing we want to do is postpone, but with the efforts and money of everyone involved, we would prefer not to take a chance of having to cut everyone’s day short or ruined, and provide the best opportunity for us all to enjoy the entire day celebrating Tony’s life.

The forecast keeps changing for the worst, with it going from thinking we’d maybe be able to play but cart path only, to now most weather outlets are giving 80-95% for the actual day.
We will give it another 12 hours & make an official decision first thing tomorrow morning, but it’s currently not looking good. I will update the FB page and also send a text to a representative of each team tomorrow morning.
Thanks for understanding. It’s just too much preparation with food and workers and such to take the chance.

UPDATE:
I’m just leaving Grand ridge from talking about the tournament. Things are currently not looking favorable for Saturday. Even if it doesn’t rain Saturday, the expected rain Thursday and Friday may create poor conditions on the course. This will almost certainly create a cart path only scenario, which would slow things down greatly each round.
We will continue to monitor the forecast over the next day and a half and make a decision one way or the other by the latest Thursday afternoon.
If we have to push the tournament, contingency dates are extremely limited.
If we have to postpone, I will contact each team individually to see if the new date allows for your team to still play, and send refunds if needed.
Of course, yall know if we make a decision to postpone, it’ll likely be gorgeous Saturday, but as yall know, it’s a huge event to take a chance of it being ruined once we get out there.
