4-H in Maryland is managed and delivered by the University of Maryland Extension, covering a broad range of topics from cooking to agriculture to STEM so that every child can reach their full potential! 4-H is open to ages 5-18.

4-H is also open to those who would like to volunteer (ages 18+) to assist with delivering 4-H programs! University programs, activities, and facilities are available to

all without regard to race, color, s*x, gender identity or expression, s*xual orientation, marital status, age, national origin, political affiliation, physical or mental disability, religion, protected veteran status, genetic information, personal appearance, or any other legally protected class.

Today is the first day of the 4-H Spring Paper Clover fundraiser campaign in collaboration with Tractor Supply Co.! This fundraiser will run until May 3, 2026. Funds raised will support 4-H camp, scholarships, and leadership activities!

You can donate to the Montgomery County 4-H program at your local Tractor Supply Co. store.

Calling all 4-Hers! Join us to make a free, special Mother's Day craft for your mother or another special person! We will be hosting the Mother's Day Craft Night on Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 7pm-8:30pm at the Montgomery County 4-H Office (18410 Muncaster Road, Derwood, MD 20855).

Join our Kids N Dog's club for their fun matches! This is a great opportunity to try agility out in a low-stress environment!

This April, we are hosting a spring craft night where you can create a bouquet of flowers using chenille stems, a cup and craft paper!

This event will be hosted on April 8th from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Montgomery County 4-H Office.

Join us for a NEW Robotics Exploratory Series! This is where 4-Hers can explore robotics and the engineering process in a low-stress environment without the pressure of joining a team!

We will be focusing on mostly VEX robotics with some focus on LEGO robotics if there is interest. We will be meeting every other Friday night starting on April 10th until July 10th from 7pm-8:30pm at the Montgomery County 4-H Office.

*Please note that this schedule is subject to change to avoid scheduling programming on any major holidays. There will need to be at least 1 week where we have programming 2 weeks in a row to avoid June 19th and July 3rd.*

Join us on Tuesday, April 14th from 7pm-8:30pm at the Montgomery County 4-H Office (18410 Muncaster Rd. Derwood, MD 20855) for an art class using tessellations as our guide! Tessellations are patterns of shapes that cover an entire area with no gaps or overlaps in the design.

The 4-H Central Cluster will be having the public speaking contest on March 14, 2026. This will be held at Bushy Park Elementary School at 14601 Carrs Mill Rd, Glenwood, MD 21738.

The contest will run from roughly 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with awards immediately following. You will receive your specific time slot following registration closing. The registration link can be found below. Registration will be open until March 6, 2026.
