The Core Values are critical attributes that drive all aspects of Granite State Soccer, most importantly the Core Values separate “Players” from “Athletes”. Adherence to the 5 Core Values is fundamental to developing Athletes with the capability to serve as leaders on any team, within any community and with any organization. We define our success by the development of people who are highly capable
in all aspects of life on and off the field. We DO NOT define success as being “really good” on the field. Our Athletes, Coaches and Employees are role models, courageous and selfless with the ability to bring about the same attributes in others.
1. Character
Respect —the ability to see and celebrate the value in ourselves and others—is a fundamental part of sport; respect for others, respect for coaches, for parents, for teammates, and respect for the game—we must give and demand respect, as in soccer, the intensity of the moment heightens each action, magnifying the impact of every development. An Athlete who values the contributions of his or her teammates, and who also displays the self-respect necessary to believe in oneself, will indeed make an impact, in soccer and in life. Show proper respect for teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and spectators. There is zero tolerance for negative behavior and engaging in conflict. We rise above this behavior and choose to be a positive reflection of our team and community. Humility - freedom from pride or arrogance : the quality or state of being humble. We expect all Athletes to exercise humility on and off the field.
2.Integrity

Know and do what is right, even in difficult situations. Members of Granite State Soccer are expected to do the right thing even when no one is watching. We are dedicated to developing leaders who demand integrity for themselves and their team. Integrity requires courage! A lack of Integrity are indices of cowardice.
3. Effort
Hard work beats talent when talent chooses not to work hard. The one aspect of an Athletes game that they can always control is how hard they work. Work ethic in practice is a direct reflection of an Athletes capability on the field come game day.
4. Responsibility
“Losers assemble in small groups & complain about the coaches and other players. Winners assemble as a team and find ways to win.”
Granite State Soccer is a “no excuse” program. Excuses are the same as blaming someone else. We hold each Athlete accountable for their own actions, we expect our Athletes to hold themselves accountable as well. Responsibility is the way we show work ethic, commitment, and respect.
5. Community
An integral part of Granite State Soccer is our community and the surrounding communities. Bringing awareness to these communities of the opportunities at Granite State Soccer as well as giving back through community service are key aspects of our program.
