💙 Giving Back, One Smile at a Time! 💙

Today, our Club members had the opportunity to visit the nursing home for Fun Day and lend a helping hand! The kids enjoyed serving the residents by hosting a special “wheelchair car wash,” where they carefully cleaned the wheelchair tires and spread plenty of smiles along the way. 🚗🧼✨

It was a wonderful day of kindness, teamwork, and making meaningful connections across generations. We are so proud of our members for showing compassion and demonstrating what it means to be a positive force in our community.

Space Day at the Club! 🚀✨

Our members showed off their creativity during our Astronaut Coloring Contest, filling the room with colorful space adventures. 🌎🌟

A huge congratulations to Edward Shelton for taking home 1st Place with his amazing astronaut masterpiece! We are so proud of all our young artists for reaching for the stars and making Space Day a blast. 🚀👨‍🚀💙

🌊🐠 Ocean Habitat Adventure! 🐢🦀

Today our club members put their creativity to work by creating amazing Ocean Habitat Dioramas! From colorful coral reefs to deep-sea creatures, kids explored different ocean ecosystems while learning about the animals that call them home. We are so proud of their hard work, imagination, and teamwork. Great futures start with curiosity and discovery!💙🌎

🎉 What an amazing way to wrap up the first week of Summer at our Club! ☀️

Our members ended the week with lots of fun, creativity, and friendly competition! They designed colorful dance party posters, raced their teammates in an exciting balloon launcher challenge, and showed off their teamwork and sportsmanship during our kickball tournament. ⚽🎈

To top it all off, everyone enjoyed refreshing cool cups to beat the summer heat! 😎🍧

Thank you to all of our members and staff for making the first week of summer one to remember. We can’t wait to see what adventures next week brings! 💙

We had a very special visitor at the Boys & Girls Clubs of McGehee today. 💙

We were honored to welcome Mr. Frank Hickingbotham, whose generosity played a significant role in making this club possible. Inside our club, there is a plaque that pays tribute to his vision and his contribution to this community and today we had the privilege of showing him what that investment has grown into.

A couple of our amazing club members had the honor of giving Mr. Hickingbotham a tour of the club and presenting him with a small token of our appreciation.

We also want to extend our gratitude to Mr. Hickingbotham’s guests who joined him for the visit. We were honored to have you all here.

Mr. Hickingbotham, thank you for believing in McGehee and in the potential of its young people all those years ago. And thank you for coming back to see what you helped build. We are grateful beyond words.

💙 Kindness Day at the Club! 💙

Today, our members learned that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference! We kicked off the day by creating a Kindness Chain Reaction, sharing ways we can spread kindness to others. Members also painted colorful Kindness Rocks filled with positive messages and completed a Kindness Checklist to encourage thoughtful actions throughout the day.

The fun continued with cooperative games that challenged our teamwork and communication skills, including Silent Shapes, Cooperative Musical Chairs, and the Partner Balloon Walk. Through laughter, collaboration, and kindness, our members discovered the power of working together and supporting one another.

We are so proud of our kids for choosing kindness, building friendships, and creating a positive impact in our club community! 🌟🤝

💛Friendship Day at the Club!💛

Today, our members celebrated the power of friendship by learning what it means to be a good friend. We watched inspiring videos, created colorful friendship bracelets, completed fun friendship-themed activities, and put our teamwork skills to the test with exciting relay races!

From kindness and respect to teamwork and encouragement, our members discovered that great friendships help create great futures. We are so proud of the friendships being built and the memories being made this summer! 🌟

☀️🌴 Day 2 of Summer 2026 was packed with creativity, teamwork, and friendly competition at the Club! 💙

Our members put their imagination to work by creating Summer Bucket List Posters filled with goals, adventures, and activities they hope to accomplish this summer. ✨📝

The fun continued with an exciting game of Kahoot, where everyone tested their knowledge and showed off their quick thinking skills! 🎮🏆

Every day is a new opportunity to learn, grow, and have fun.☀️🌊

☀️🌴 Day 1 of Summer 2026 was a success at our Club!💙

We kicked off the summer with a day full of fun, laughter, and getting to know one another. Members participated in Head, Shoulders, Knees, Cup, completed their All About Me fun sheets, played our Beach Ball Name Game, tested their teamwork skills with Don’t Pop the Balloon, designed creative summer name tags, and expressed their artistic side through finger painting! 🎨🎈🏖️

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store!☀️
